I am an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of Graduate Studies in Political Science at Texas Tech University. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of GeorgiaMy research focuses broadly on congressional politics, the presidency, electoral politics, and institutional development. I have published articles in journals such as the Journal of Politics, Political Communication, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Research Quarterly. I am the author or co-author of three books: Electoral Incentives in Congress (Michigan), Nationalized Politics (Oxford), and The Less Responsive Chamber? (Michigan).
