About Me

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia. Before moving to Athens, I completed my undergraduate studies at Drake University and received a M.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis. During the 2015-16 academic year, I was a postdoctoral fellow in the Political Institutions and Public Choice program at Duke University

I am originally from Nebraska. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two dogs (Lucy and Riker), drinking coffee, reading, running, hiking, and traveling. In the fall, my Saturdays are spent cheering on the Huskers and the Bulldogs.
